LunchAsOne - host a fundraising lunch to fund a sustainable vegetable garden.

In Africa many kids can’t go to school because they’re hungry. Instead, they have to look for work so they can afford the occasional meal. LearnAsOne helps by funding sustainable organic vegetable gardens which provide a continual supply of nutritious food. It means the kids can spend their time learning rather than working for their next meal.
What can I do?
You can help by getting together some friends or colleagues and hosting a fundraising lunch at work, your church, a restaurant or even invite them over to your house.
Simple to arrange
Just set a time and date. Ask people to contribute a dish. Buy some drinks. And ask everyone to make a donation so kids in Africa can go to school. We can send you a powerpoint presentation you can show everyone so they can see how their money will be spent.
How much does a vegetable garden cost?
It costs £550 to install a drip irrigation system (including a triedle pump) and buy the seeds to produce the vegetables. Compost manure is made by the pupils and teachers to sustain the garden. The drip irrigation system is really important as it extends the growing time into the dry season which means more food can be produced to eat and sell to fund next years seeds.
How do I collect donations?
You can either set up an online fundraising page and share the link with your guests. Or you can download a sponsorship form (pdf) and send it along with a cheque to the address on the contact page. Please include your email address so we can thank you without wasting your money on an envelope, paper and stamp. Thanks.
Your photos
If you want to share the fundraising fun why not take some photos and upload them to the Facebook fan page for the whole LearnAsOne community to see?
