What is the 40 minute fundraise?
In Zambia a lesson lasts for 40 minutes. Will you fundraise for 40 minutes to fund new classrooms and teachers’ houses at Simakakata Community School? You can jump, busk, run, bake and much, much more. Learn more >

Have a quick watch of the YouTube video to the right. It’s a few of the children from Simakakata Community School singing one of the school songs.

Could you do a little karaoke style singing to raise some money for the final two classrooms and six teachers’s houses at the school?

You can either put on a Karaoke night, or ask your local karaoke bar if you can add a couple of pounds to the entry fee to raise money for the school.

Your aim should be to sing for a total of 40 minutes through out the night, in a mixture of solos and group performances. You can charge people to make requests, or if your voice isn’t quite as angelic as you’d like, why not get people to pay you so they don’t have to attend and hear you sing!

Add your own fundraising ideas too, and have yourself a great night!
