What is the 40 minute fundraise?

Rory McIlroy

Rory McIlroy. Will he be crowned Masters champion tonight?

To complete a superb weekend of sporting action, tonight you can enjoy the final round of The Masters.

Rory McIlroy leads the pack. 2009 champion Angel Cabrera lies four shots back. And could Tiger Woods make a late surge from five under?

Sit back, crack open a cold beverage and enjoy the drama.

But before the tension really starts to mount, we ask if you’ll think about running a golfing fundraiser to help buy raw materials for Simakakata Community School in Zambia?

Our suggestion strays slightly away from our 40 minute theme and focuses on the 40 foot putt instead.

The 40 foot putt challenge | How does it work?

  • Mark out a 40 foot putt. Make it a toughie.
  • Charge everyone £1 a putt.
  • Half the money goes into the prize fund. Half to LearnAsOne.
  • When someone sinks the putt they go into the hat for a chance to win the prize.
  • You can keep the competition running for a day or a week. It’s your choice. Just make sure it’s easy for someone to watch the putts.

Could you run a 40 foot putt competition at your golf club?
